I couldn't recommend Mr Jan highly enough. After years of suffering with heavy periods, severe anaemia and constantly needing to urinate due to having a large fibroid, I had a laparoscopic myomectomy with Mr Jan in January 2020. Following conflicting advice from other doctors about not being able to perform the surgery laparoscopically, and advising me to leave the fibroid as it is if I wanted to have children in the future Mr Jan quickly put my husband and I at ease that he could perform the surgery without any issues and without affecting my future fertility chances. He is extremely approachable with a friendly manner and really filled us with confidence. Following a successful operation where he also removed some endometriosis he found, I recovered well with no complications. I am so pleased we made the decision to have the surgery with Mr Jan and also pleased to say I am now 15 weeks pregnant and all going well. We can't thank you enough!

After years of battling with severe period pains and heavy bleeding and getting conflicting diagnosis from various doctors, Dr Jan was able to provide me with an accurate diagnosis of Endometriosis. I went from not being able to do anything for myself to practically forgetting that I have Endometriosis. Right now he is supporting my efforts to start a family because he understands how important that is. I would highly recommend him if you want a consultation that cares and willing to listen and not just prescribe a thousand and one pills.

Mr Jan is a kind, caring and genuine consultant. He talks to you and listen.to you. He gives you options and the best possible advise. I have never come across such a caring consultant. I felt at ease and comfortable talking to him, he is very approachable. Mr Jan didn't only speak to myself but also reassured my husband. Very highly recommended.. I am glad I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Jan I would never of had a hysterectomy if it wasn't for the person he is I was so scared after having an ablation previous to at a different hospital. Which did not go as expected I wish I had met him years ago when all my gyne problems started.. Mr Jan gave me a very informative leaflet on the procedure and recovery which was excellent I followed the recovery procedure and my recovery was fantastic. My follow up appointment was very positive. I feel fantastic. Thank you so much for everything you did for me. I wish Mr Jan all the best for the future. I was treated at Epsom general hospital April 2019.

My GP recommended Mr. Jan when I suspected I had endometriosis and was struggling to conceive. I ended up seeing one of his team at Epsom Hospital who was fine but I didn’t feel satisfied and so ended up seeing Mr. Jan at Ashtead as well. As others have said, he is an excellent listener, he explains things carefully without being patronising and was able to answer my (many!!) questions, taking time to think before answering and not making any rash promises, nevertheless, optimistic and obviously knows what he’s doing. I had a lot of confidence in him from this consultation. I had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy and dye test last month by Mr. Jan at Epsom’s hospital. He removed significant endometriosis from my pelvic cavity, small cysts from the end of a tube and removed adhesions. I have just found out I am pregnant already, the very next month. If this is not a testament to his skill, I don’t know what is.

I had been suffering with severe anaemia for several months due to some Gynae problems. I was recommended to see Mr Jan and was referred to him via my GP. I felt from my first outpatient consultation with him that he had a good understanding of my gynae problems and he explained to me very clearly the best way forward. Recently, I underwent Hysteroscopy with removal of Fibroids and a Polyp under his care at Ashtead Hospital. My operation went very well and I felt complete confidence in Mr Jan and his anesthetist. I would definitely recommend Ashtead Hospital as it is very clean and comfortable and the nurses were kind and helpful. I have dealt with quite a few Doctors both during my work and personally in the past and I can honestly say that Mr Jan is outstanding with his kind, calm, polite and professional manner. Also, his PA Helen, is very helpful and efficient.
